The cloud based bitcoin financial service platform founded by Halsey Minor of Salesforce and CNet fame, Bitreserve has hit a new milestone. In a recent blog post, the company’s new CEO Anthony Watson has announced that the company has crossed over $210 million worth of cloud money transactions.
Bitreserve has achieved this milestone in about 10 months of existence while catering to people and businesses from over 161 countries. The company, headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina has its offices in San Francisco, London, Braga and Shanghai. Unlike other exchanges, the bitcoin in Bitreserve is backed by currency and commodity reserves. This helps Bitreserve counter bitcoin price volatility.
Anthony Watson’s blog post also contained a thank you message to all Bitreserve users, where he thanks them for their support and for using the platform. Bitreserve has been constantly adding new currencies to its offerings. Currently it supports about 16 different currencies and 4 commodities with more on its way.
According to Anthony Watson, the company has been working on making the whole process easier and more user friendly. Bitreserve is working towards financial inclusion to those who do not have access to banking services, especially in developing nations.
