’s Bitcoin Commercial is Well-Received

A recent commercial about Bitcoin was just released by the wallet and blockchain explorer company The video was well-received by the cryptocurrency community, and many believe other companies should jump on this type of media to display the wonderful attributes Bitcoin gives to the world.

The narrator says, “the digital world is part of our DNA now, it’s how we share our experiences, how we consume our entertainment, and how we stay in touch with loved ones.” Throughout the video, it shows the many technological advances humans have made from sending letters by snail mail to now by sending digital versions through email. But asks:

“But what about banking? Think about it, millions of people around the world have no access to financial tools. Borders and the system creates barriers. We trusted banks, but they collapsed time and time again. They take hundreds of billions in fees from us. Bitcoin doesn’t care where you are born. What color your skin is or where you are in the world. Its an open network maintained equally by people all over the world. Anyone can verify the transactions, and it happens instantly. For just a few cents you can send any amount of money anywhere in the world.”

Many Bitcoin supporters across social media platforms such as Reddit and Twitter were very pleased with the new professionally recorded video. One commenter on r/bitcoin writes, “Wow! We need more of this. Please, with all the venture capital millions all those start-ups received, please spend some $ on great ads like this one. Remember: Bitcoin has no marketing department. Well done” Alongside this CEO Erik Voorhees writes via Twitter, “Wow… @blockchain‘s new Bitcoin commercial could not be better. Inspiring and beautiful and correct.” Others liked the video but hoped for it to be more of a generic commercial with the Bitcoin logo at the end instead of promoting the company’s name One commenter explains:

“I like it… I’d like to have seen a bitcoin logo in the end though, but the message is great.”

Overall the majority of the community seemed to like the points the video displayed and how it was professionally made. Supporters do believe that “Bitcoin is a global community of inclusion with an invitation to participate in an open world” Enthusiasts hope that commercials like these will one-day grace television screens, so more of the mainstream catches a whiff of Bitcoin’s beauty. The open source, permissionless, and innovative technology has opened the minds of many. Bitcoin has provided the people in this world to take hold of their individual wealth and sovereignty. Banks have failed us too many times, and humans are looking for a borderless way to trade without manipulation and permission from the nation states and banking cartels.
