Blockchain Training Conference Focuses on Education

Vancouver, B.C. — The largest problem affecting the growth and adoption of blockchain technology is knowledge. But the first-of-its-kind Blockchain Training Conference in Toronto, Jun. 20-21, is focused on changing that very issue.

The two-day event being held at MaRS Discovery District in Toronto, Canada, will offer attendees hands-on, specialized training and education in blockchain technology — and for those interested, the world’s first globally recognized blockchain certification.

Andreas M. Antonopoulos, author of Mastering Bitcoin, one of the best technical guides to bitcoin, will be a featured speaker at the conference and will be on-hand to provide expert advice and training.

“I think there’s a tendency to look at this technology as if it’s an investment vehicle, which I think is a very bad idea,” said Antonopoulos.

“In the end, the one solid investment is education, that’s something that has value across the entire industry, it’s something that people carry with them for the rest of their lives.”

The conference will help attendees grow their knowledge base, and to build skills that suit the future of finance, business and other industries, sectors and fields that could be affected by blockchains.

“As a technology that’s still growing, we basically need to train tens of thousands of people around the world on this,” said Antonopoulos. “I’ve always been focused on education and I think that should be the primary focus.”

All attendees will receive vouchers ($95 CAD value) for the Certified Bitcoin Professional examination in their attendance kit, which they will be able to use to earn a globally recognized blockchain certification.

The event will be divided into two tracks: The Alliance Track, hosting non-technical training sessions, and the DevCore track, hosting technical training sessions.

Attendees will pay one price to attend the two-day event and will be free to move between the two tracks and choose which skills they will learn.

It is an ideal environment for those with prior blockchain experience and those who are brand new to the concept.
