BnkToTheFuture Reinvigorates Bitcoin Crowdfunding with Crypto-Equity Platform

Bitcoin is garnering a lot of interest from all kinds of investors across all major continents.  But Bitcoin crowdfunding has never been much of a success, with many platforms trying their hand at it, yet none gaining any traction.  BnkToTheFuture, a crypto-equity platform, managed to raise quite some capital with recent projects.

Banks Coming Around to Blockchain TechnologyBnkToTheFuture

One of the more interesting changes in the financial sector recently has been how banks and other financial institutions are finally warming up to the idea of Bitcoin.  Or to be more precise, several major players in the financial world have given the underlying technology that powers the Bitcoin network their “stamp of approval”.

To date, most major banks – including names such as Barclays and Santander – are actively working a blockchain-based solution for their business model.  After watching from the sidelines how Bitcoin and the blockchain have been making a dent in their profits, there were no other options but embracing the new technology.

While banks and other financial institutions are trying to wrap their heads around blockchain technology, and its implications, investment platform recently relaunched their new platform.  Rather than running a traditional Bitcoin crowdfunding platform, now offers crypto-equity to all project investors.

Whereas people looked to traditional financial institutions to make large investments, the paradigm has been shifting towards the world of Bitcoin and digital currency. One of the reasons for this success is because blockchain technology offers an openness and transparency, allowing investors to see how their money is being used at any given time.

US$10m in Bitcoin and Financial Innovation Projects

The relaunch of has led to a long list of successful campaigns for various projects. One of the most popular digital currency exchange platforms – – started their journey on the BnkToTheFuture platform. A total value of US$1.8m was raised for this project, making it one of the most successful campaigns to date.

In more recent times, Bitcoin Capital has raised a staggering US$1.5m, all of which will be used to invest in Bitcoin and blockchain related companies.  Everyone who invested in Bitcoin Capital will receive a monthly dividend, to be paid out in Bitcoin.  Furthermore, Bitcoin Capital has recently launched a second tranche to raise an additional US$5m.

Other successful projects on include StartCOIN holdings – a project run by Max Keiser – and Factom – a company bringing blockchain technology to businesses.  This latter company is best known for their deal with the Honduran government to record land registry title deeds using Bitcoin and blockchain technology.

“We are looking to give financial innovation a home to raise finance from investors interested in funding the future of finance.” BnkToTheFuture CEO Simon Dixon told DigitalMoneyTimes.
