Dutch Brothers in Court for Bitcoin Mining With Stolen Power

Prosecutors in a Netherlands are seeking jail sentences for dual brothers who they contend used stolen electricity to energy computers they used to cave bitcoins value an estimated 200,000 euros ($223,500).

Prosecutors pronounced in a matter Wednesday that absolute computers used to “mine” a electronic banking were found in a building in a pier city of Rotterdam that belonged to one of a brothers and also was used as a cannabis nursery.

Equipment in a hothouse and a computers were using on illegally tapped electricity when they were detected in 2014. The brothers, whose identities were not released, are charged with income laundering.

Prosecutors asked judges to levy a 15-month judgment on one hermit and 5 months on a other.
