Ex-US Agents To Plead Guilty To Silk Road Bitcoin Theft

Law360, Los Angeles (June 23, 2015, 9:48 PM ET) — Two former federal agents will cop to money laundering and fraud charges in connection with the theft of bitcoin digital currency while working on an undercover investigation of black market website Silk Road, according to court orders filed Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg signed off on two separate orders to set change of plea hearings for Carl M. Force, 46, a former special agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration, and Shaun W. Bridges, 32, a former agent for the U.S. Secret Service.
