The FBI is questioning a report filed by an unnamed Bitfinex user alleging that supports were stolen from their account, CoinDesk has learned.
According to an incident report filed on 14th September, a Cambridge, Massachusetts, proprietor settled that they lost $1.3m in bitcoin tied to a penetrate and successive $70m burglary from Bitfinex.
The Cambridge Police told CoinDesk that a matter had been referred to a FBI after an initial investigation. Bitfinex member have previously said that they are operative with a FBI as partial of a review into a hack.
