The popular cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex is partnering with a newer digital asset trading platform, Cryptofacil, to create a space for trading over 270 different currencies in Latin America and the Caribbean, as revealed via a press release.

Reaching New Markets

Co-founder of Cryptofacil, Andres Szafran, commented on the merger:

“This partnership with Bittrex positions Cryptofacil as a leader in the Latin America and Caribbean digital asset markets, with an offering of more than 270 token pairings. With a unique user interface, our platform will allow our customers to manage trades in a simple way, with premium services and competitive market fees.”

Located in the United States, Bittrex provides its current experience as an exchange that reaches many countries across the world. The Uruguay-based team at Cryptofacil will focus on the two targeted regions, with the potential to expand later on.

The exchange is targeting a space where many citizens simply don’t have access to banking. It’s not the only company looking to move in either, with groups like Bitex, Cryptobuyer, and Volabit vying for market share, among others.

Building A Legacy

CEO of Bittrex, Bill Shihara, shared his thoughts as well:

“Bittrex works every day to advance blockchain technology and this partnership with Cryptofacil will further drive its worldwide adoption. Cryptofacil and Bittrex will provide Latin American and Caribbean customers a reliable, fast and secure trading platform that also offers access to some of the world’s most innovative blockchain projects.”

Interested users can sign up for early access on Cryptofacil’s official website. The exchange will support English, Spanish, and Portuguese languages, feature advanced trading tools, and support Visa or MasterCard for purchases.

Bittrex was just in the news last week, with the platform threatening to delist Bitcoin Gold from its trading pairs due to the currency losing millions to attacks. Also, the popular exchange partnered with Rialto trading just last month to create a space for trading securities.
