Coins App, a Nigerian owned cryptocurrency payments application, has recorded $18 million in transactions in its first month.
The CEO of the exchange, Dan, initially made the revelation, and later confirmed by the platforms Twitter handle.
Coins App is currently available in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, and Uganda. Users can deposit the naira or US dollar directly. Users can also trade, receive, and spend bitcoin (BTC) and ethereum (ETH) on Coins App.
Generally, Nigerian cryptocurrency platforms have had a great year so far. BuyCoins Africa reached new highs in trading volume, and Bundle is growing rapidly, despite launching five months ago.
What’s more, Bundle has recorded 50,000 application downloads in addition to the already impressive $4.5 million transaction volume in the first four months.
