Tutorial: How To Buy From the House of Lions Market?

Welcome to the House of Lions market! Today, we’re going to show you how to enter the market and how to buy an item. The H.O.L market is fairly simple to use as it employs a traditional balance/escrow mechanism. This means that all balances are handled by the market and that the escrow is centralized. So, this simplicity comes at a cost: You will not be in control of your funds, meaning that an exit scam is possible, so proceed with care.

House of Lions has a very simple and intuitive interface and makes the process of configuring PGP easier than most markets. Buying an item is also very easy. So, let’s get to it!

Part 1 – Protect your privacy

Step 1: In order to access any darknet market, you’ll need Tor Browser. TOR allows you to conceal your location by redirecting Internet traffic through a network of nodes. Click here to go to the Tor Browser download page and download the version that best suits your O.S.

Step 2: Although the Tor Browser conceal your location and usage from anyone conducting network surveillance or traffic analysis, your Internet Service Provider will be aware that you’re using the Tor. To ensure maximum security, you can install a quality VPN. You can find a list of VPN providers here. There are a lot of free VPNs, but remember that they are probably worth what you pay for them: Nothing. So do your research and choose a VPN that is good and cost-efficient.

Part 3 – Create an account with House of Lions

Step 1: Click here to get the sign up link for the House of Lions. Make sure to use a username and password you don’t use anywhere else (including other markets) to ensure that it can never be traced back to you. Enter your Username, password, pin and welcome message. The welcome message is very important, as it will allow you to know if you’re being phished or not.

Step 2: Enter your PGP public key in the correct field

Step 3: Solve the captcha and click “Finish Register”

Your account has been created

Part 4 – Activate 2-FA

Step 1: Click “Go to login page” to log into your account

Step 2: Enter your username and password. Enter your captcha and click “Login”

Step 3: Click “Profile”

Step 4: Click “Two-Factor Authentication”

Step 5: Now click “Enable 2fa”

You will now be asked to decrypt a message using your PGP private key. The one you used to create your account with:

Step 6: Decrypt the message, enter it in the correct field (1) and click “Verify” (2)

Two-factor authentication is now active! This will give your account an extra layer of security.

Part 5: Add funds to your account

The House of Lions Market employs a traditional escrow and balance system, which means that your funds will be entrusted to a third party. As so it is advisable that you only deposit a little more than what you need. This will ensure that less funds lost will be lost in case of an exit scam or L.E bust. Depositing a bit more than the price of the item ensures that you can still buy the item if the price chances while the transaction is being made.

Remember to use a Bitcoin mixer to ensure that your identity can not be linked to the deposit. You can also protect yourself by purchasing Bitcoins through a P2P or decentralized exchange. Always generate a new address for each deposit you make.

Now on to the good stuff! Searching and buying an item!

Part 6: Searching for an item

Step 1: Click “Listings” to go to the market front page

When we want to find an item on these markets, we usually look for the keyword and then navigate to the category want or vice versa. Unfortunately, this feature is not available on the House Of Lions market. As so, you can either search for your keyword on the search bar or go into the category you’re interested in. Be aware that there are multiple subcategories. So let’s say we want to read a book/guide about Hacking. Let’s go into the correct category

Step 2: Go to the category you’re interested in (in our case, guides tutorials)

Step 3: Now pick one of the subcategories, we’re going to pick hacking

Step 4: Now browse through the items until you find what you’re looking for

Part 7: Check your vendor’s feedback

Step 1: Once you find your item, check if it has escrow (below the description) and click the name of the seller on the right

Step 2: You will now want to look at the buyer’s feedback and number of deals (below his username) and at his recent feedback. Our user is quite new (Registered 2 months ago) as we can see below. He was also active today. Although he has only a few deals he has a 100% feedback rate, so will buy this item since escrow is also provided

Part 8: Make a purchase

Step 1: Go back to the Listing and choose your item by clicking the item’s image or title. This will take you to the item page

Once on the item page, you’ll be shown the description and details on price and shipping methods. Since this is a digital item, you won’t have shipping options.

Step 3: To buy the item, select the quantity and click “Order Now”

You will be asked to enter the pin number you gave when registering for security. You will also be shown a shipping address, but since this is a digital item, we will leave it blank. If this was a physical item, however, we should write the address in the format requested by the vendor on his profile page (if he does) and encrypted with his PGP public key.

Step 3: Enter your pin and click “Confirm”

You can click “Details” or “Orders” to check up on your order.

You’ll be taken to the Orders page. Here you can talk to the vendor, if need be and you can see the order status.

Once you receive your order, inspect it and make sure it is the same item you ordered. If all is well, you can click “Finalize Order”.

If the seller doesn’t change the status of the order to shipped in 72h, you can cancel the order. Since we have escrow, you can also start a dispute if the item is not the same that you ordered or if it does not arrive.
