There’s some really good news coming from the United States for Dogecoin fans. Users in the US can now purchase the canine-themed cryptocurrency from 1800 ATMs in the country, courtesy of CoinFlip, an ATM provider.
As per a tweet by CoinFlip, anyone who wishes to purchase DOGE in cash can visit any of the ATMs in their network. With this decision, CoinFlip will be one of the key beneficiaries of DOGE’s surging popularity.
One of the Most Famous Cryptocurrencies
Launched in 2013, Dogecoin soon became popular among the meme-loving community, thanks to its cute Shibu Inu logo and meme concept.
Recently, Dogecoin started making headlines after a crypto-version of infamous wall street bets, a Reddit group, decided to pump Dogecoin. It led to a huge number of people buying Dogecoin from various exchanges, with Robinhood being the most notable name. The sudden increase in the DOGE prices led to Robinhood pausing the trading of Dogecoin on its platform.
Another reason for the rising popularity of Dogecoin is an endorsement from many high-profile investors, entrepreneurs, and celebrities. The likes of Elon Musk, Mark Cuban, and Snoop Dogg have been very vocal about Dogecoin in recent times.
Number of ATMs supporting Dogecoin Purchase Will Rise
Expanding from 451 ATMs in February 2020, CoinFlip’s number of ATMs has grown by almost 250% currently, with 1800 ATMs in the United States. CoinFlip aims to take this number to 4000 by the end of 2021.
It will make it easier for people to buy Dogecoin, and thus, more of the Dogecoin community will increase in size. Thus, more people will buy Dogecoin. This, in turn, will lead to an increase in the prices of Dogecoin. From where we see, Dogecoin’s future seems bright enough to put a bet on its growth.
