A new leak has revealed that ICE3X will launch the first South African cryptocurrency debit card in the coming days.
ICE3X is one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in South Africa and has expanded its services to Nigeria last year.
According to the leak, the new ICE3X physical crypto debit card will launch as early as Monday, May 4. The iCE3 debit card will initially only be available to South African users.
The source also indicates that ICE3X intends to expand to “Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Botswana,” depending on the perfomance of the solution.
Here are details on the fee structure of the card:
- Swipe & Spend: Free
- Cash withdrawal: R10 – R18 (Depends on the ATM Bank Issuer)
- Cashback from shops: R3-R5 Flat Fee
- Maintenance: R10 per month
The card will be available to ICE3X users only and can be used to spend cryptocurrency in South Africa at any merchant that accepts MasterCard or Visa.
