Binance has opened trading of the South African Rand (ZAR) on the Binance exchange starting from today (27/03/20) at 4:00 AM UTC.
South Africans can now buy and sell cryptocurrencies directly on Binance. Traders can trade the Rand (ZAR) against Ethereum, Binance Coin, Binance USD, and Tether USD using BTC/ZAR, ETH/ZAR, BNB/ZAR, BUSD/ZAR, and USDT/ZAR trading pairs.
South Africa becomes the third African market for Binance and second fiat pair from Africa on the leading Binance exchange. Currently, Binance runs a unique exchange in Uganda and has also added the Naira as a fiat pair on its exchange.
Binance initially announced its entrance into the South African market at the Blockchain Africa Conference 2020 in Johannesburg. Further, Binance committed to a $1 million donation through localized branch Binance South Africa to educate people about cryptocurrencies.
South African traders can create an account on Binance to trade through an extensive range of listed cryptocurrencies.
