We have seen multiple cryptocurrency users complain about the Poloniex exchange in recent months. In most cases, those issues pertain to withdrawals being stuck for an extended amount of time. One Reddit user now claims his support ticket has gone unanswered for over two weeks. Moreover, his Poloniex account is frozen due to this ticket not being resolved. It is evident this exchange has a lot of issues to deal with right now.

It is annoying to deal with exchanges’ customer support these days. It seems most companies do not have enough staff on hand to handle these requests. Cryptocurrency has seen an influx of new users over the past few months. So far, this has caused mostly issues for trading platforms, partially due to their own fault. Especially Poloniex has suffered from multiple issues and things are only getting worse. The company had to deal with multiple alleged DDoS attacks in recent months, costing traders a lot of money.

Poloniex Issues Continue to Worsen

Making matters worse are the growing delays when it comes to withdrawing money from this exchange. Users often complain about how they need to wait several days. In some cases, it takes a week or longer until these matters are settled. Unfortunately, other users may suffer from a very different problem. One Reddit user mentions how he has been locked out of his account for over two weeks now. This is all due to an unknown IP address successfully accessing the account.

According to his statement, that IP address comes from his phone. He also mentions how this device has been used multiple times in the past without issues. Access from an unknown IP will lock your Poloniex account these days, apparently. After submitting a ticket to support, the matter is still unresolved after 17 days. No response has been provided by the company to this date. That is absolutely unacceptable, to say the least. Even an automated acknowledgment of the ticket would be appreciated at this point.

What makes this problem more annoying is how there isn’t any other way to contact Poloniex. There is no phone number to reach or any other method to reach the company. It is evident issues like these will only hurt Poloniex’s reputation even further. Cryptocurrency users need to rethink using this platform for any future trading. Our best advice would be to move money off Poloniex before more people lose access to their funds. Never store any money on an exchange you can’t afford to lose.
