Some interesting things are on the horizon for cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Revolut, the self-proclaimed 21st-century bank, is looking to integrate various cryptocurrencies into their platform by the look of things. That is quite an interesting development, to say the least. Revolut is poised to make a big impact in the financial sector, that much is evident.

One reason why people like Revolut is how the company uses a mobile app to provide financial services. Additionally, their RevolutCard allows users to spend money without fees. Even if they have to convert from a different currency, the exchange rate will be in favor of the user. Additionally, the service lets users send money around the world. So far, the company processed nearly 30 million transactions, according to the website.

Revolut and Cryptocurrencies is an Interesting Combination

Some tweets by the company are hinting at a potential cryptocurrency integration. More specifically, the company announced they raised US$66m in Series B funding. That is quite impressive for such a relatively new startup. This money will be used to expand the company’s global presence. Additionally, they will launch cryptocurrency support in the near future, which is a nice addition. It makes a lot of sense to integrate cryptocurrency in such a platform.

The bigger question is how this integration will work. If a Litecoin user were to credit their account, they should be able to send it to others around the world. However, no one knows for sure if the funds can be used to spend through the debit card as well. Assuming that is possible, interesting things could be happening for all cryptocurrencies very soon. The International expansion should not be ignored by any means either.

One feature we can look forward to is buying cryptocurrency from within the Revolut app itself. It is a bit unclear how this will work exactly, but it sounds pretty interesting. Revolut may help put cryptocurrency on the global map by officially supporting this alternative form of payment. The future’s looking brighter for all cryptocurrencies, although it remains to be seen which will be supported. The top cryptocurrencies make a lot of sense, that much is evident.
