According to Finextra, Santander Group developed the application for eighteen months with its employees, integrating Apple Pay for payments from ten to ten thousand pounds sterling. The application will be available in Spain, Brazil, the UK and Poland.
According to the company’s slide, customers will be able to use the application to facilitate unilateral cross-border payments in less than a minute. The application will integrate a digital wallet, personal finance manager and assistance in paying for personal payments.
A spokesman for Santander Group said: “We plan to launch the application in the next few months, and we can confirm that we are planning to use xCurrent in the project.”
It should be noted that the product of Ripple, called xCurrent, does not use XRP tokens.
